The Story
The history of the Monteverdi family has been linked to the world of wine since 1796 with Angelo Maria Monteverdi making wine in his tavern to offer to his guests. From generation to generation in 1920 the first modern winery was founded. Around the 1950s, thanks to the foresight of Antonio Monteverdi, the fame of the family business developed and was consolidated with the production of wines typical of all Italian regions. In the early 1980s, Antonio’s sons, now partners in the company, began a massive process of exporting and modernizing technology. The new recruits who have recently joined the company continue with the same enthusiasm and ambition as their predecessors.
